Aoife Soden Glass

It's not every day that we sit and ponder the patience and skill it must take to work with molten glass at 1320˚C. To be fair, the art of glassblowing is mindblowingly ancient – we're talking BC-years ancient – where it was invented by the Phoenicians and greatly supported by the expanding Roman Empire.

So we raise our glasses to the delicate works by Irish glassmith Aoife Soden. Aoife's 'Internal Disquiet Development' creations explore the dysfunction of organs caused by stress and anxiety that are often ignored or neglected. And her ornamental pieces are striking.
